Dr. Klaus Frieler - Miscellaneous

Music

I play several instruments (bs, dr, p, git, voc), currently in two bands: Eastern Rain (Psychedelic Rock) and Bad Sushi Experience (Kinda Punk). I wrote a lot of songs. However, my heart deeply belongs to jazz.

Art & Writing

Somehow, I find myself sometimes involved into some art projects, more often than not connected to writing of some sort. In 1999, I started a web site, the infamous Omniversum, which is dedicated to visual and concrete lyric utilizing some JavaScript gimmicks before the advent of AJAX all the new fancy frameworks. Since many many years I haven't found the time to polish the site according to new web standards, so don't be disappointed if something's not working anymore.

Together with my colleagues from Bad Sushi Experience I was lucky to be able to take part in two exhibitions at the Heliumcowboy Artspace in Hamburg, a galery which became well-established in the art world since then...

I used to write a lot of haikus but more or less I don't do it anymore. If they happend to me once in while now, then I fire them out on Twitter, together with some other well-thought thoughts that occur to me.

I wrote a novel and some short stories, but there is a big black silence on the novel for good reasons. The short stories are quite nice, though, but I managed to publish just two of them only by starting a magazine called "WANDLER" with a couple of very nice and creative people from Hamburg. We release the first issue on February 1st, 2010, which was kind of an magazine event. Luckily, the first issue quickly sold out. For more information and some pictures visit the magazine's blog.

My latest project is the foundation of the Tychological Internationale, which is not really international but profoundly tychological.
